Reflection: 2nd Timothy 3.
Paul addresses here some ungodliness that will be present in the last days. One unique thing we can grasp from the style of Paul is he starts this chapter speaking about ungodliness and his response is an example and the truth of scripture. Scripture is given by God to correct His people. To teach. Children of God must be submitted to God’s word. What is your aim in life? Is it self-seeking or is it aimed to glorify God in all things? Am I striving to honor the Lord?
It is about the journey and the progress. Press towards our goal in Christ. Life in Christ is never neutral. Either you feed the Spirit or you feed the flesh. Where are you aiming for the course of your life? Strive for Christ. Cling to the Cross. God uses His word to make us more and more like Him. It leads us. This is why we must be submitted to His word above all things. No man can take the place of God’s word in our life. Read and consider the word for yourself.
