A Lifestyle of Love
“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” - Romans 13:8-10 (ESV)
Love is the sum of God’s word, way, and law. For since we know that God is love; we can also conclude that we need His help to have such a lifestyle of love. For He said in Psalms 18:1 that he is our strength. Therefor we need his strength to cultivate a complete and total dependance on His mercy and grace. So that we may be transformed unto the lifestyle of love. Though it may seem simple in concept it feels impossible in application. This is why we rest in the completed work of the Cross. Because it is by His strength that we are given the ability to walk in His way of life. To live a lifestyle of love, is to be submitted to being renewed by His grace.
